Kunming: Sunday at Church

Day 2 in Kunming, we make our way to church by public bus... it's really stylo as you can see and I must admit it beats our SBS buses hands down!

The outside and inside of their 'mega' church - it's HUGE! 3 levels FILLED with people...and they do video screenings of the service for the 2nd and 3rd storeys cos of the lack of space!

Was touched by the sermon and prayers especially. It was such a joy too to see the free access the people had to the Word of God...

Mr Abraham Xu, Mel & me after church...

Trying out 'Across the Bridge' noodles (过桥米线) for lunch - famous Yunnan dish in which ingredients and thin slices of meat are tossed into and cooked in a bowl of piping hot soup...

Nope not a protest but actually walking advertisments for a mobile phone company!

Colourful flags that symbolise good luck.

Street bazaar selling fishes amongst many other animals like rabbits, tortoises, hamsters, beetles, etc.

It's blackberry season!!

We decide to treat ourselves to some... my very first time eating blackberries in fact! :)

Yumms...

Concussing after a long day... but we have an even longer night ahead on the sleeper bus to Xishuangbanna with 2 other Americans girls - Elizabeth and Jessie

Our beds for the night for our 12-hour journey to XSBanna... it was most exciting! If we concentrated hard enough, we could almost imagine it to be a first-class airplane seat. heheh.
